wE'RE COMMITTED TO FIGHTING ALS
What is ALS?
Short for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, ALS is a degenerative disease that attacks the central nervous system. In laymen terms: “A” translates into no or negative. “Myo” refers to muscle and “Trophic” refers to nourishment –“no muscle nourishment’. When the muscle lacks adequate nourishment, it atrophies-or wastes away.
Every week, an average of 2 Minnesotans die as result of ALS and 2 Minnesotans are diagnosed with ALS.
For over 8 years, Black Woods Blizzard Tour has raised nearly 1.5 million dollars. Last year alone they raised $416,000.00! We are extremely honored to be involved in fundraising efforts that help to make a difference in lives of those associated with ALS.
